Filled Under:
Today is Good Friday and families all over will be engaging in the age-old tradition of drawing on and then coloring hard-boiled eggs to be enjoyed (by eye and eating) by everyone! Generally, we'll run right to the cabinet for artificial food coloring. But why not dye your eggs naturally by making your own natural coloring using spices at home?
For shades of yellow and orange you may boil onion skins or add turmeric to warm warm water and a spoonful of vinegar, for red try cayenne pepper!
You may also try to use ground up blueberries and boiled red cabbage or red onions.
Happy Easter Everyone
